Privacy policy
Effective October 12, 2026
Coupon Keeper is a browser extension for Chrome and Firefox. This policy explains what it does with your information. The short version: it keeps everything on your device and collects nothing.
What the extension stores
The coupons you enter: store name, code, expiry date and notes. It also stores a list of which coupons it has already reminded you about, so it doesn't notify you twice. All of this is saved in your browser's local extension storage on your device.
What it collects and shares
Nothing. The extension makes no network requests. It doesn't send your coupons, your browsing activity or any usage data to us or anyone else. It has no analytics, no ads and no account.
Permissions it uses
storage to save your coupons, alarms to check for upcoming expiry dates
about once an hour, and notifications to show reminders. It doesn't request access to
any website, so it can't read the pages you visit.
Deleting your data
Delete individual coupons from the popup. Uninstalling the extension removes all of its stored data from your browser.
This website
This site loads no fonts, scripts or trackers from third parties. It's hosted on GitHub Pages, which may keep standard server logs such as IP addresses; see GitHub's privacy statement for details.
Changes
If a future version adds a feature that sends data off your device, such as optional encrypted sync, it will be off by default, and this policy will be updated before that version is released.
